Are You a Healthy Weight? Check With This Body Mass Index Chart
The body mass index (BMI) chart is used by doctors to see whether their patient is within the healthy weight range. Your BMI is found by comparing your height to your body weight. It's a pretty handy formula and applies in the same way to both sexes.
You can calculate your BMI by dividing your weight (in kg's) by the square of your height (in metres). But don't worry about doing all that maths - you're here to find out your BMI, not your IQ! On the BMI chart below you can quickly and easily see which group your BMI would fall into.
Quite an interesting fact is that people with a BMI between 19 and 22 usually live the longest. People with a BMI of 25 and above often live relatively short lives.
