hmmmmm wheat free - not for me!

Okay so I have been trying a "wheat-free" diet for a few months now. I started it to see if it would help to clear up my pimples... which over the past year or so had become quite bad.

After about a month I hadn't noticed great changes - I had really been hoping that they would totally clear up and go away.... didn't happen. I didn't really lose any weight either - which I had been hoping would happen too. I have 2 theories why not eating wheat didn't clear up my pimples and help me drop a few kg's:

1) I am not sensitive or allergic to wheat or gluten....

2) I had such major cravings for bread that I ate excessive amounts of chocolate to try and kill the cravings - not a good idea when trying to lose weight and clear skin!!!

ANYWAY - to cut a long story short..... I decided to try a new tactic to clear up my skin (Which Tom, my boyfriend suggested) This was to stop being a crazy pimple squeezing maniac! He said if I stopped squeezing and touching them - they would go away... and guess what.....

2 weeks later - not a pimple in sight! I couldn't believe it! All this time I have been so upset about the condition of my skin and I was totally the cause of it!

Now, if I do give in to temptation and squeeze "imaginary pimples" I put an anti-bacterial toner on right away - this kills the germs and stops a real pimple forming! But, most of the time - I avoid temptation and do a U-turn when I feel myself getting drawn into the "pimple-pushing trance" as Tom calls it!

So, I can still eat wheat (although I try not to eat too much of it) and I have nice skin again! - I am a happy girl!

Anybody who has problems with their skin - Try it!
