How do I keep myself motivated?

by Mona Adel

Hi there

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.... I work almost twelve hours a day five days a week. I am so tired in the morning and I find it really hard to get in my workout kit and start working out. I put it off till the next day which never comes.

I would like to wake up fresh and jump into my working outfit. I would like to strengthen my abs, back glute and thighs muscles in addition to losing 4 pounds.

I really appreciate it.

We think this will help...

Hi there,

Wow, You do work a lot and it is understandable why you find it hard to get motivated to exercise!

The thing that is important to remember is you don't need to exercise for hours upon hours every morning... Make yourself get up and do 10 - 15 minutes. That's not much at all and it will be easier to get up knowing that it'll be over in no time! Once you have got your body used to those 10 or 15 minute blocks, build them up to 20 minutes and then eventually 25. I think 25 minutes (if you put a lot of energy into it) is enough time for you, considering the amount of time you spend at work.

You need to find a balance. Exercise 20 minutes or so in the morning, then go to work. Make sure that when you come home from work you give yourself some pampering time doing whatever it is you love to do... After all, it's been a long day... You've done well... and you deserve it!

Finding a balance in your life will help you to find the motivation to exercise. This will help you lose weight, tone up and live a happy and healthy life :)

Best of luck and keep us updated!!
