Keep a daily log
If you're having trouble losing weight, the best thing you can do is keep a daily logbook.
Find a small notebook that you can carry in your pocket or purse, and write down everything you eat. Then fill in the calories and fat, or whatever else you might want to keep track of, and then add up the totals for the day. Look up the calories online.
This will take up some time, but once you get in the habit you'll know where you need to cut back. Maybe there is a certain time of day that you tend to eat just food. Think of how you can change bad habits and replace them with healthy eating and exercise.
