Lifestyle Change

(Las Vegas, NV)

As a kid growing up I always had problems with my weight, and always looked at food as more of a vice rather than a necessity. For some reason, going to college and gaining not the freshman 15 but more like the freshman 25, I had to make a change in my life. Working out, eating healthy and making life changes (no soda, less sugar, less junkfood) helped me to where I am today. 50 pounds later, I went from a 185 back in those college days to a now 135. While working in the restaurant industry it is hard to keep up the rigorous demands of a healthy life, I always keep an old picture of me "back then" to remind me of how my life has changed, and how I want it to stay that way :)

Using a photograph
by: Tom

Hi Jay,

I like the way you keep a photograph to remind you how far you've come. It can be such a motivational booster to be reminded of your past successes in difficult times.
