Only eat if it tastes really good

I've done this in the past, and am about to start being more diligent now. (I'm trying to lose the babyfat after having my 7th child.
Only eat something if it really tastes good. That chocolate cake, or those brownies look really good and smell even better. But then when I take a bite...well, it's just not what I expected. So I pass it on to one of my children, or throw it away. If I'm able to, I will take a very small slice so I don't waste a lot of food, and then get more if I really like it.
Sometimes, I take a bigger piece than I should have. How do I know? Because, when I'm 1/2 way through it, it just doesn't taste as good as it did.
